CONCEPT NOTE
1. Background
Many young people face significant challenges, including unemployment, lack of life direction, and weak spiritual foundations. These challenges often result in wasted potential, engagement in risky behaviors, and a lack of clarity about their life purpose.
Kijana Jiongeze is a holistic youth empowerment initiative designed to equip young people by strengthening them in four key areas:
- Spiritual formation
- Leadership and character development
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
- Community service
2. Overall Goal
To raise a generation of self-reliant young people with strong Christian values who are equipped to become positive agents of transformation within their communities.
3. Specific Objectives
- To provide leadership and character development training to more than 200 young people annually.
- To equip youth with fundamental entrepreneurship and project development skills.
- To establish a structured mentorship program that offers both spiritual and professional guidance.
- To initiate and support youth-led community development projects.

Background
Children thrive best in safe, loving, and nurturing families. However, many families continue to face challenges including poverty, inadequate parenting knowledge, child neglect, violence, limited economic opportunities for women, and weak family support systems.
Women play a central role in shaping the future of children and society. When women are empowered spiritually, emotionally, socially, and economically, children are more likely to grow in secure environments and reach their God-given potential.
Safe Child Initiative is a holistic family strengthening program that equips women, parents, caregivers, and communities with knowledge, practical skills, and support systems that promote child protection, positive parenting, economic resilience, and healthy family relationships.
